Lake Nakuru National Park: Nakuru Town, Nakuru County
Known worldwide for its breathtaking pink shores lined with thousands of flamingos, Lake Nakuru National Park is one of Kenya’s premier game parks. Situated 155 kilometers northwest of Nairobi, this UNESCO World Heritage Site spans 188 square kilometers and serves as a sanctuary for black and white rhinos as well as the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe.
The park is also a paradise for birdwatchers as it has over 400 bird species. Besides birding, you can enjoy game drives, hiking, and camping.
