Ecotourism’s contribution to the global tourism industry

Ecotourism’s contribution to the global tourism industry is estimated to be around 7 to 10 % of total international travel. This is quite a significant contribution which shouldn’t be ignored and especially by the direct beneficiaries – tourist industry players. This calls for the urge to participate in various activities that aim at protecting/conserving/sustaining natural resources that would guarantee further increase in ecotourism. Nia Adventures has taken this initiative by partnering with a recently established NGO – Involve the Children, who’s primary role is to ensure sustainability of the environment while at the same time offering access of quality education to the less privileged children in our society. From our schedule, we have dedicated our usual monthly yacht ride, happening on 20th April 2024 in Mombasa La Marina, where all proceeds generated from this adventure will go along way in funding projects steered by Involve the Children.
